Varun Aggarwal did his Masters in CS from MIT and is the co-founder of Aspiring Minds. He had started Aspiring Minds to fill the daunting information gap in labour markets by use of job skill assessments. Aspiring Minds tests a million candidates each year and work with 2000+ companies. Varun also co-founded CURE, Coalition to Uproot Ragging from Education in 2001, which helped change the public discourse about ragging by use of data and worked with the Raghavan Committee to influence the government policy on the subject. He is the Founder of MIT India Reading Group and the force behind National Youth Day. Varun regularly features in the media regarding his thoughts on the skill gap and has given invited talks at the likes of IBM Research, Microsoft Research, MIT, Harvard India Conference and others. He has recently been investing in and advising startups. Varun has a strong technology bent and continues to actively contribute to research and has filed several patents. He also writes on varied subjects, both non-technical and technical.

Shubham Bansal graduated in Engineering Physics from IIT Delhi and is currently pursuing his masters in Energy Management and Sustainability from EPFL, Switzerland. He has his keen interest in solving the clean energy access challenge and has worked with different organisations in the field such as SELCO and in research labs to understand it from multiple perspectives. He has been active in the social development space and wants to leverage technology to solve some of the challenges in the sector. While at IIT, he co-founded Project Aanch that aimed to tackle the problem of indoor air pollution in rural households by starting a women-led rural enterprise to disseminate improved cookstoves in the community. The project has grown by leaps and bounds since then and the team has gone on to receive the Amazing Indians award in 2014. He is also the co-founder of Energy Business Policy Technology Group which seeks to facilitate multi-faceted dialogue around energy issues through seminars, conferences and debates at EPFL
